My research interests center around neurodevelopmental conditions, particularly in adults, women, and marginalized groups. I'm also interested in the psychological mechanisms of human-AI attachment, LLM training and authenticity heuristics, and the neuropsychology of AI addiction.

Literature Review

Autism in Women: Empathy

Women are frequently overlooked in the process of autism diagnosis. This unsettling truth potentially stems from multiple factors, including but not limited to, gender bias, the language of diagnostic criteria, clinician education and awareness, and atypical presentations of autism. My literature review concentrated on the latter category, atypical presentations of autism. Specifically, I examined the view of empathy as it relates to autism. Our group collectively undertook not only symptomatology, but also gender bias and diagnostic criteria. A multidimensional range of research was considered for my analysis, drawing from neurobiology, cognitive psychology, and the knowledge of psychological professionals who have explored various aspects of autism in depth. My research conclusions were mixed, exposing a critical lack of data pertinent to women and ill-defined concepts of empathy.
